BLACK SESAME MILK
¾ cup black sesame seeds
good pinch salt
4 cups water
1 date
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons maple syrup [optional]
_ soak sesame seeds in water for 30 minutes with a pinch salt
_ drain sesame seeds and place in a blender
_ add remaining ingredients and a pinch of salt and blend in high for 1-2 minutes
_ strain through a cheese cloth or nut milk bag
_ chill and enjoy
[keeps in the fridge for 3-4 days or the freezer for 1 month]
