A lovely week in the snow comes to an end. Good weather, perfect snow conditions, family and good friends. Crazy how fast the time went. I’ll miss my (snowboard) riding party.
Every night someone different pitched in with delicious food and I could make people happy (and slightly drunk) with this wintery liqueur. It feels like the perfect drink for a mountain huts and wood fire!


  • 3 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon [ground]
  • 2 pods cardamom
  • 200g brown rock candy
  • 0.7l Brandy
  • 100 ml apple juice

_ drop cinnamon sticks, ground cinnamon, cardamom and rock candy into a clean flask [needs to hold about 1 litre]

_ add apple juice and brandy

_ close tight and give it a good shake

_ leave in a dark place at room temperature for 2 weeks [give it a good shake once a day]

_ strain liqueur through a sieve to remove solid parts

_ taste and add more rock sugar if you feel like it

_ store in a cool place
