Summmmmer! Finally the sun managed to beat the rain for a few days. Time for some ice cream. Only problem – I’m currently not supposed to eat anything with milk in it. So ice cream is off the list :(
But hey, nobody said anything about tequila :) A friend of mine made watermelon popsicles a while back. Just poke popsicle sticks in the bottom of a watermelon wedge and freeze – tadaa. Really fun and refreshing.
So why not combine this with my love for margaritas?


  • watermelon [seedless]
  • tequila [decent quality]
  • lime
  • sea salt
  • popsicle sticks

_ cut watermelon into thick slices [1.5 to 2 cm]

_ cut the slices into 6 pieces [so you end up with triangles]


_ line a cutting board [one that fits into your freezer] with parchment paper

_ use a sharp knife to make small slits into each watermelon wedge

_ insert a popsicle stick

_ pour a little tequila [the amount is entirely up to you ;) ] and lime juice over each wedge [on both sides]


_ sprinkle with sea salt and place on the parchment paper


_ freeze until solid

[if you want to enjoy them sooner just put them into the freezer for a few minutes to cool down]
