My fathers birthday is coming up. Since I can remember he wants a sponge roulade for his birthday. Suits me :) I like making it.
_ whisk egg white to soft peaks
_ whisk egg yolk and sugar until fluffy and white
_ fold flour and egg white through the mixture
_ spread in a square on a baking sheet
_ bake until golden [10-15min]
_ roll while still hot [without jam]
_ wait for it to cool down a little
_ spread jam on the inside evenly [mix jam with a little water to make it spread more easily]
_ roll back [into a tight roll]
_ cover with sugar
_ serve and enjoy!
