I’m not a big fan of white asparagus, but green asparagus is just great. It’s done in no time, tastes delicious and doesn’t get all soggy immediately. Personally I love to toss it on the grill for a few minutes, but baked in the oven is the next best thing.

Before cooking, grilling, frying,… asparagus you need to get rid of the woodsy parts. With green asparagus thats fairly easy. Just take the lower third of the stalk into both hands and brake it in two. It will automatically break in the right place. Smart asparagus :)


  • green asparagus
  • olive oil, garlic [finely chopped]
  • salt
  • pepper
  • chili [dried]
  • lime [juice]

_ place on a baking sheet

_ preheat oven to 200°C

_ drizzle asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic and chili flakesfox_asparagus2

_ bake for 15-20 minutes until tender but crispy [you should be able to poke through the asparagus easily with a fork]
