This is a nice and easy way to pimp your classic black tea. Sounds a bit christmasy but it’s really refreshing and fits a hot afternoon in the sun.
ORANGE – CINNAMON ICE TEA
_ once the water boils add teabags [remove from heat]
_ let steep for 4min
_ remove tea bags
_ let cool
_ heat ½ cup water, orange juice and sugar in a saucepan
_ once the sugar is dissolved add cinnamon [and orange zest if you like]
_ bring to boil _remove from heat
_ allow to cool [will thicken a bit]
_ strain mixture and remove cinnamon sticks
_ once the tea is cooled add the orange-cinnamon syrup
_ mix thoroughly
