I love baking cake. I like eating cake. But my problem is that I like baking cake so much that I would like to try a new cake every second day.
I take it out of the oven, smell it, smile at how it worked out [if I didn’t screw it up], taste a piece or two, and now… now I’m stuck with a giant cake. Usually I make my boyfriend take it to work the next day to feed it to his coworkers – but they are starting to get suspicious!
So, new rule – no baking unless there is a big enough crowd to eat it all! Luckily today I found plenty of volunteers :)
ORANGE BUNDT CAKE
_ preheat oven to 190°C
_ whisk together flour, baking powder and salt
_ mix butter and sugar together until light and smooth
_ add olive oil and eggs [on at a time]
_ slowly add orange juice and dry ingredient mixture
_ finally use a wooden spoon to mix in chocolate chips by hand
_ bake for 45 to 55 minutes [until inserted skewer comes out clean]
_ let cool a litte before taking it out of the pan
_ serve and sprinkle with orange zest
