LEMON BALM SYRUP

There are so many great herbs and flowers in spring to make syrups out of. And it’s such a nice way to conserve all those lovely flavors. So be prepared for lots of syrup recipes that will follow soon :)

 

LEMON BALM SYRUP

  • generous handfull lemon balm
  • 200g sugar
  • 200ml water
  • 1 stalk lemongrass [optional]

fox_lemon_balm2_ wash lemon balm

_ shake dry

_ heat water

_ dissolve sugar

_ add lemon balm

_ bring to boil

_ set aside

_ let sit for 30min

_ strain syrup into bottles

If you want a more intense flavor – crush a lemongrass stalk and put it into the syrup bottle.
