STRAWBERRY HABANERO JAM
4 cups strawberries
1 lime [juice and zest]
1-2 habanero peppers
canning sugar
[2:1 or 3:1 if you like it less sweet]
_ finely dice strawberries
_ remove stems from peppers and finely mince
_ place strawberries, lime zest and peppers in a large sauce pan and bring to a soft boil
_ measure weight of the final amount and prepare canning sugar accordingly
_ stir in canning sugar and bring to a rolling boil
_ boil for about 10 minutes
_ stir in lime juice
_ lade jam into sterilized jars
_ cover with a lid, tip jars onto their head and leave to cool to room temperature

[2:1 oder 3:1 wenn man es weniger süß mag]
