GOOSEBERRY JAM
500 g fresh, ripe gooseberries
500 g sugar
1 lime [juice]
½ cup water
_ wash gooseberries well and remove stem and dried flower pedals on the bottom
_ husk gooseberries [optional - if you want the jam without junks]
_ place in a large pot with lime juice and water
_ bring to a boil
_ reduce heat and simmer until the fruit is soft
_ add sugar and continue to simmer on a low flame
_ when sugar is dissolved, turn the heat up and continue to cook for another 10 minutes
_ check if jam has reached the right consistency by putting a little jam onto a plate and allowing to cool - if a skin forms on top, it means the jam is ready
_ cool completely and transferring to sterile jars

500 g frische, reife Stachelbeeren
500 g Zucker
1 Limette [Saft]
125 ml Wasser
