FRIED BEEF WITH SUGAR SNAP PEAS

This dish is a new favourite of mine if I have little time to cook. It’s prepared in no time and tastes delicious with those fresh, crunchy sugar snap peas. You can also pimp it with some fresh ginger or use chicken instead.

FRIED BEEF WITH SUGAR SNAP PEAS

  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 60  ml water
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 300g sugar snap peas
  • 350 g beef steak
  • rice

_ combine soy sauce, water, rice wine vinegar, sugar and starch and mix well

_ mince garlic

_ wash sugar snap peas

_ cut the steak into thin slices [about 1cm thick]

_ cook rice according to package discription

_ heat oil in a large pan

_ sauté garlic and sugar snap peas for about 5 minutes [keep turning them so they get heat from all sides]

_ take out of the pan and store for later

_ fry steak strips until nicely browned from both sides [about 5 to 7 minutes]

_ add sugar snap peas and the prepared sauce

_ stir until the sauce thickens [this should happen rather quick]

_ serve with rice or rice noodles
