CINNAMON BROWNIES

In desperate need of pick-me-up food? Than these brownies are the way to go. They are like boiled down chocolate condensed into an intense, juice piece of coma-inducing goodness. The cinnamon gives it a touch of christmas.
Warning – don’t eat if you need to work after eating this. These are like knock-out drugs and will need a cosy blanket and good book to take full effect.

CINNAMON BROWNIES

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 200g + 50g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 200g brown sugar
  • 160g flour
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 30g + 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 100g powdered sugar
  • vanilla
  • milk

_ preheat oven to 175°C
_ melt chocolate with 200g butter over low heat
_ prepare an oven proof dish [20×26 cm]
_ whisk sugar and eggs until fluffy
_ stir in the melded chocolate butter mixture
_ combine flour, cinnamon and 30g cocoa powder and wish in with the rest of the batter
_ spoon into the oven proof dish
_ bake for about 35 minutes
_ leave to cool to room temperature
_ melt remaining butter and whisk together with the remaining cocoa powder, powdered sugar and vanilla [add milk until you get a thick but spreadable cream]
_ spread evenly over the brownies and cut into rather small pieces
