If you are looking for something to satisfy these chocolate cravings I have the perfect recipe for you. This cake is super moist and flavour intense. Taste-wise a little bit like a brownie the center is still fluffy and the top nice and crunchy.


  • 85 g hazelnuts [ground]
  • 340 g chocolate [dark]
  • 170 g butter
  • 6 large eggs [room temperature]
  • 300 g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch salt
  • cocoa powder


_ butter a springform and line it with parchment
_ preheat oven to 160°C
_ melt butter and chocolate in a water bath [or over very low heat]
_ set aside to cool back to room temperature
_ combine eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt until very thick and light in color
_ slowly add the chocolate
_ fold in the hazelnuts and quickly pour into the prepared springform

_ bake for about 75 minutes [top should be crusty and interior moist and crumbly]
_ allow to cool to room temperature [cake will fall in on itself and the top will crack]
_ dust with cocoa powder
