I love Indian tea. But I haven’t found a store bought one that’s super to my liking. And every time I try a Chai at a café it’s super sweet – what’s going on there? I like to drink my Chai without sugar – the sweetness of the milk is way enough. If I have time I like to make Chai concentrate. But it takes some time and doesn’t store so well. So now I tried the Chai – instant version.


  • 1 tablespoon cloves
  • 1 tablespoon green cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper corns
  • 0.5 tablespoons nutmeg
  • 0.5 tablespoons allspice
  • 0.25 tablespoons vanilla
  • 0.25 tablespoons dry lemongrass powder
  • 0.25 tablespoons star anise
  • 0.25 tablespoons dry ginger powder

_ mix all ingredients together

_ crush in a blender / porcelain mortar

Mix about ½ teaspoon powder with 1 cup hot milk/water! Enjoy hot!
