BREAKFAST BUNS

Sunday morning with warm breakfast buns – just perfect! Those buns are easy to make and taste great with savory and sweet toppings. Sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds to give your buns a little diversity. 

 

BREAKFAST BUNS

  • 500g flour
  • 100ml milk [warm]
  • 100ml water [warm]
  • 1+1 egg
  • 60g butter [softened]
  • 7g dry yeast
  • 0.5teaspoons salt
  • 1teaspoon sugar

_ mix warm milk with sugar and yeast [let rise for 15min]

_ combine flour and salt

_ mix in one egg, butter and the water-yeast mixture

_ knead the dough for about 10min

_ cover and let rise for about 1hour

_ divide dough into 10 equal parts

_ form into round buns and place on a paper covered tray [let rise for 15min]

_ preheat oven to 180°C

_ brush buns with beaten egg and sprinkle with your favorite seeds or spices

_ make cross or star shaped cuts on top of each bun

_ bake for about 25min [until tops are golden and crispy]fox_buns3
