The name berrymisu is an invention of my brother in law. He looked at my dessert and decided that it was a mixture of berries and tiramisu – berrymisu. I like chocolate – the darker the better. But when it comes to creamy stuff and cake I like little sugar and lots of fruit. So I exchanged mascarpone for greek yoghurt, coffee for lemon juice and threw in a couple of blueberries [any other berries are fine too].

  • 500g greek yogurt
  • 1 package ladyfingers [wholemeal]
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3+3+3 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 cups blueberries
  • 3+1 tablespoon lemon juice

_ simmer at medium heat [until berries soften and juices thicken]

_ set aside

_ add rest of blueberries [keeps some for decoration]

_ cool

_ for the lemon syrup warm 3tablespoons lemon juice together with 3 tablespoons water

_ dissolve 3tablespoons sugar

_ let cool

_ stir together yogurt, 3tablespoons sugar and 1 tablespoon lemon juice

_ layer yogurt, berries and ladyfingers [dip ladyfingers very briefly in the lemon syrup]fox_berrymisu3
